Nyquil, take me away ...

Not only do I have a cold,

not only do I still not have a Christmas tree,

not only have I finished a week with four performances by my children and three by me by having to listen to my son rap a Christmas version of YMCA ("X-M-A-S") and completely forget the words to his solo,

but in one minute,

it'll be my birthday.

Internet, you know how people say they're not getting any younger? I really am not getting any younger.

Seriously, the past week has put a good half decade on me.

  1. Oh, Poppy: it's hell, isn't it, having a birthday smack-dab in the middle of all the holiday insanity, with the added bonus of cold-and-flu season.

My own birthday's a safe five months away, but two of my men-folk celebrate their birthdays this week, and it's just GAH.

Having said all that: I hope that Nyquil is your friend, and that you enjoy a wonderful birthday. If not now, then in January. :)

    Happy birthday to you.

Be glad you didn't have to actually hear me sing that.

BTW, there's a birthday message for you at the Mamarazzi group page on Facebook.

  4. Happy Day to you. May it be empty of concerts you or your family are in. What are the plans when it is on 12-12-12?
