Things that I hate for no apparent reason.

I've probably blogged more than I should about stuff I hate. Things like men's cologne, acrylic nails, and reality TV shows.

But here are things I boycott, even though a lot of very smart people swear by them:

1. best-selling novels
2. scented candles
3. L. L. Bean Boat 'n' Tote bags
4. wallpaper
5. mid-century modern furniture
6. dark chocolate
7. scotch
8. peep-toe shoes
9. Quentin Tarentino
10. Ikea

  1. I loathe scented candles and don't get why people hang wallpaper.

  2. I am 80% with you dear. But on the dark chocolate, and the mid-century modern? Two of my happy-makers.

  3. Wallpaper is from the devil.

But IKEA, my dear? I will not give up my love affair with the affordable, sturdy, washable-slip-covered Ektorp line. Not by the hairs on my chinny chin chin...

  4. The dark chocolate and scotch? You could send those over to me. I want you to be happy.

    3. I'm sort of surprised.
    4. Nothing worse.
    5. Can't wait for that trend to pass.
    6. Could take it or leave it.
    7. More for me.
    8. Agreed.
    9. Agreed even more.
    10. There is a time and a place wherein nothing else will do and we do what me must.

  9. Isn't "mid century modern furniture" an oxymoron?
