When You Care Enough to Click "Publish Post"

OK, a movie meme. Stolen from TX Poppet.

And frankly, this is sort of long and boring. TX Poppet had the good sense to eke hers out over two days, but I'm not that accommodating. I waited to blog until after my long and stress-filled day was over. Until after I'd had several glasses of wine. And killed what was left of my brain cells.

So here you have it; the IMDB meme. Or something.

What you will learn about me:

1. I hate horror movies.
2. If a movie came out in the 90s, I didn't see it. Unless it starred Mike Myers.
3. I only like drivel. Honestly, people. Where's The Thin Man? Where's Wayne's World? Where's The Man Who Knew Too Little? What's with all the serious shit? What a downer, man.
4. I've probably seen more of these, but frankly, I can't remember. Drugs, alcohol, and the aging process will do that to a girl.
5. I'd have seen many more of the movies if they included more silent films. Or really early talkies. Or, if I haven't made my point forcefully enough--COMEDIES.
6. Or if there were more musicals.
------
Bold the ones you've seen; italicize the ones you've seen part of.

1. The Godfather (1972)

2. The Shawshank Redemption (1994) This one sounded depressing as hell.
3. The Godfather: Part II (1974) (I'm not sure I haven't seen this. But I might have just seen a lot of clips.)
4. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (1966)
5. Pulp Fiction (1994)
6. Schindler’s List (1993) I don't do Nazis.
7. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975)

10. Seven Samurai (1954) "Give us the white rice balls!"
11. Star Wars (1977)
12. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) I saw one of these--the last one, I think. Was this it? I was bored.

19. Once Upon a Time in the West (1968)
20. The Usual Suspects (1995)
21. Psycho (1960) I may have seen the whole movie. I know I've seen clips. I also know I've read the book. I know--weird. But I was in Spain and it was the only English book I could find.
22. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)
23. Fight Club (1999)
24. Citizen Kane (1941) You have to take the opportunity to see Orson Welles before he became Jabba the Auteur.
25. The Silence of the Lambs (1991) No gruesome. No Jodie Foster.
26. North by Northwest (1959) It's Cary Grant! It's Hitchcock! It's Chicago!
27. Memento (2000)
28. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
29. Sunset Blvd. (1950) The "I'm ready for my close-up, Mr. DeMille" scene scared the piss out of me when I was a kid.

32. Lawrence of Arabia (1962)

60. Forrest Gump (1994) To tell you the truth, I'm not all that crazy about Tom Hanks.
