One good thing about today

My alarm clock didn't go off this morning. The first thing I was aware of was the sound of my children, dressed and breakfasted, yelling goodbye as they got ready to leave for school.

So much for my job security.

I've been replaced by an iPod with the alarm clock setting.

  1. Ahhh..I remember well when my children got themselves up, dressed, fed and off to school without me. I knew they would do well in life. And so would I.

  2. Dude, I am LIVING for that day.

  3. Wow, that's like reading deja vu this morning. I heard the shower start at 6:20 and I wondered why someone broke into my house to use my bathroom!

'Twas the Shortman. Up and about.

Must be something in the air.

  4. Weird--mine didn't go off either, and the darkness of the morning provided no visual clues.

  5. Oh, that sounds like a lovely way to wake up!

  6. And I thought I was doing well when I woke mine up to hop in the shower and they actually did it. And didn't even stay in there for an hour.

I need to get me a couple of those alarm clock thingys.
