OK, here's the good news

I got up at 3:30 a.m. in New Hampshire, and was in the car heading to Newtopia, Illinois by 4:30.

We survived 17 hours in the car and waaaaay too much coffee and fast food, and the turtle is in fine shape.

The bad news is that when I walked into my kitchen, I was crushed by the stack of catalogs and magazines that had accumulated.

I foresee a busy day tomorrow.

  3. I mean, really...
is it a question of wanting a car in NH?
Do you have issues with air travel?
How highly would you recommend the Passat?

  4. MotR: My pleasure. I hope the reviewers at IT2M can handle my contrary opinions and lack of swearing. ;)

Blackbird: It all started when a friend talked us into driving to Orlando for Spring Break because, like us, he had forgotten to make airplane reservations until a round trip ticket cost $990. Then he wimped out and flew, whereas we stuck with the plan and drove. We discovered that with DVDs, CDs, books, books on CD, and various Nintendo games that the hours pass pleasantly enough. And we can pack as much crap as we want. This time we brought out a chandelier.

Love the Passat, but that's my little car for nipping around town. We make the long trips in a Toyota Sienna minivan.

  6. Fling those catalogs right into the round recycler! I think all the new styles need to be tried on again. Tight pants? Long Tops? Haven't I worn that before?
And I busted out laughing when you said "This time we brought out a chandelier." Sounds like something I'd do - and think that the dog could reside on top for the trip...
