- A series on neutral, everyday eye makeup: what works for women our age; what products and colors I recommend; what techniques work best.
- A series in which I make myself into the internet's guinea pig by buying and trying some anti-aging skin care, and then reporting my findings.
- Ideas on coordinating your look; looking polished, pulled together, and age-appropriate.
- How I decide how much to pay for clothes, or, My So-Called Budget.
What do you think, sirs?
I'd happily read the eye makeup series.
ReplyDeletelooking forward to reading all of it!
ReplyDeleteeye make up would be good, especially when wearing glasses like you do!
ReplyDeleteI am farsighted, with glasses.
the budget-on-clothes thingy is also good. But it might need information about the individual $$$ background. it makes a difference if someone with a montly income of 2000 buys banana republic or 5000. or if someone pays rent or inherited the appartment from the parents.
btw: did you find my question on the 10 things? I still have no clue what this is about! TYIA!
Guinea pig! Choose that.
ReplyDeleteEye makeup, please. Especially what colors to use based on eye color! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYes. I'd like to be able to apply eye makeup without looking like a whore at the end. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteeye makeup please
ReplyDelete#s 1 and 3 are my top choices. #2 is interesting -- Rosina at Middle Ageless does it some, but there's a limit to how many products one person can try, so it would be nice to have another person giving an opinion.
ReplyDeleteAs for the budget, I think Paula is right in her comment above -- too many variables.
Any of the topics would be great.
ReplyDeleteGuinea Pig! I never trust the magazine reviews, so an impartial review would be amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI'm voting for 1 and 3. In fact I was just thinking yesterday morning that I needed to email you begging you to do an eye shadow series. Because color me clueless. I'm still using the same "style" from nearly 8 years ago when I got married and had my make-up professionally done for my wedding.
ReplyDeleteI'd read about all and probably would be most interest in the anti-aging product results and the eye makeup. I rarely wear eye makeup but still. I'd read about it.
ReplyDelete#1 and #2. You're brave and creative, both required traits:).
ReplyDeleteE--all of the above. So clueless I am ashamed of myself.
ReplyDeleteFunny: my word verification is "gonestud."
3 and 4.
ReplyDeleteT.
1) I'm always interested in natural looking makeup YES
ReplyDelete2) Results would take too long, would vary between persons NO
3) Polished, polished, polished YES YES YES
4) Budget, NOT REALLY
Jewelry... I've been wondering about all these large, chunky pieces of costume jewelry... I've mostly kept my own look limited to a few real (or CV) pieces.
Does that age me?
Can't I have all four?
ReplyDeleteEye make up. Especially eyebrows that are thinning due to AGE! Yeah..who thought enough to tell me that stuff happens????
ReplyDeleteBut it's not like I think I don't need the other things, cuz I do, girlfriend, Ah do!!
I'm interested in all the things in between that keep you from your blog.
ReplyDeletebudget and coordinating your look!
ReplyDeleteMy 52 year old eyelids are sagging so much that I've stopped wearing eye shadow. I need to know what will make them look a little less saggy.
ReplyDeleteYes to all of it.
ReplyDeleteHi There..dont forget your on tomorrow..Woo Hoo..just link up to LOl and comment on your commenters..!
ReplyDelete#1 for sure. I, too, am wearing the makeup that I learned to do when I got married ... and don't get me started on my hair. Also, #2: I will never get tired of learning about what works and what doesn't in this aging caper. I've done quite a bit myself but always love to get a recommendation from someone who's "been there" recently.
ReplyDeleteI want it all-but I like 3 and 4 the most!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to read #1 and #2!
ReplyDeleteLOVE,LOVE,LOVE your blog. Very interested in the eye makeup series. I'm getting ready to try one of the new anti-aging skin treatments on the market. I've got acne prone over 40 skin zits and wrinkles, what a cruel twist of fate...ugh!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to it as always...
ReplyDeletePlease, please all four are needed, but you can stretch it out over the summer!!!!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading all of them, but I'm in desperate need of the eye make-up advice. I listened to the chick at Macy's last weekend, and the results were almost tragic.
ReplyDeleteHi Poppy! many days no posting - are you abroad? I hope you are fine and enjoying spring these days.
ReplyDeleteplease, don't forget to tell me more about the "ten things". thank you!
Option 3 followed by Option 1, please!
ReplyDeleteOH NO! An almost excuse to buy that Too Faced set. I've had it in my favorites on Sephora....yikes!
