In addition to the print, the almost-flatform sole and jute-wrapped base are interesting. |
When it comes to sneakers, I've never been a Keds girl. I always preferred Topsiders or Tretorns. Probably because no matter how doughy I actually am, with their connotations of sailing and tennis, they make me look more athletic.
But then on the Keds website, I discovered that not only are they partnering with Liberty, they're partnering with Kate Spade.
And that they have a selection of poppy print sneakers.
I thought my joy was complete. Until I saw that they're also offering custom sneakers, which you put together using a super-slick interface. And now I can't. stop. playing. with. it.
In the mood for a dashing spectator-style sneaker?
Are you an aging hippy who prefers something more colorful? How about some tie-dye?
Something pink and green for the preps
Do you want an all-black sneaker without any stupid white trim? (I don't know about you, Internet, but I've been searching for an all black-sneaker that didn't have a tell-tale sneakery white row of rubber at the base for ever.)
Feeling patriotic?
I could come up with similarly dazzling creations for hours, but you get the idea. Just keep it in mind, should you be in need of some prime time-wasting. You, too, can be an awesome sneaker designer! Yay! /kermit cheer.
They are cute but ... we do not get them.
ReplyDeleteI don't get them either. Oh, you meant they don't deliver to Oz. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou know, I don't know how interested I actually am in the actual sneakers. It's just so fun to come up with color combinations.
